Editorial Policy

The Sharp Men exists to make men’s style, grooming, and hair advice genuinely useful — specific enough to act on, and honest about what actually works. This page explains how our content is researched, reviewed, updated, and corrected.

What We Cover

Outfits and styling, haircuts and hair care, and everyday grooming. We write for men who want to look sharp without turning it into a hobby, so we favour clear, repeatable guidance over trend-chasing.

Who Writes Our Content

Articles are produced by The Sharp Men editorial team, led by founder James Carter. Every article is reviewed by a human editor before publication, and we stand behind what we publish.

How We Research

Before writing, we:

  • review what established style publications, barbers, and grooming professionals actually recommend;
  • consider how a technique or outfit holds up in real conditions — budget, climate, body type, and the time most people are willing to spend;
  • favour guidance that has held true across several seasons over whatever is trending this month;
  • check product details such as fabric, fit, ingredients, and price against the manufacturer’s own information.

Where a claim is contested, or depends on individual factors such as skin type, hair texture, or face shape, we say so rather than flattening it into a rule.

Use of AI Tools

We use AI tools to assist with research, outlining, and drafting. Nothing is published without a human editor reviewing it for accuracy, usefulness, and tone, and rewriting where needed. We do not publish unreviewed AI output.

Images

We use licensed stock photography, original graphics, and images we are otherwise permitted to use. We do not present a stock photograph as a product we have personally tested.

Keeping Content Current

Style and grooming advice ages. We review our main articles periodically and update them when guidance, products, or prices change. Significantly updated articles carry a revised date.

Corrections

We fix errors, and we do not quietly delete them. Where a factual error is corrected after publication, we note what changed at the foot of the article.

Spotted something wrong? Email contact@thesharpmen.com with the article link and we will look into it.

Editorial Independence

Our recommendations are not for sale.

  • Advertisers and ad networks have no say in what we publish or how we rank anything.
  • Affiliate commissions never influence whether a product is recommended, or where it appears in an article.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review.
  • Any sponsored or gifted content is clearly labelled at the point it appears.

If we would not suggest something to a friend, it does not go into an article.

Reader Feedback

If you think we have missed something, got it wrong, or glossed over a detail that matters, tell us. Reader questions and corrections shape what we revisit.
